Here are some popular myths:
1.) Kabbalah is a religion.
Fact: Kabbalah is not a religion but a science. Kabbalistic perspective illustrates that it is a wisdom that describes the overall and absolute reality normally hidden from senses. The principles of Kabbalah would suggest that it is a study of the reality.
2.) Kabbalah is kept for a few groups of people and only men over 40 years old are allowed.
Fact: It is a fact that during the exile period, only a few chosen individuals were allowed to study it. However, it became available since the time of Ari in 16th century.
3.) Kabbalah is a sect.
Fact: Kabbalah is a wisdom open to human beings without any restrictions.
4.) Kabbalah deals with magic.
Fact: Kabbalah does not deal with any means of magic. Practical Kabbalah is misunderstood to be dealing with “white magic”.
